Plot reveals are the emotional anchors of speculative fiction and mystery writing. An unearned twist feels cheap to readers, while an overly hinted twist ruins suspense.
FleshNote provides a dedicated two-tiered system connecting Foreshadowing Breadcrumbs (clues scattered in early scenes) to the Twist Reveal (the chapter where the truth drops).

The Clue-to-Reveal Lifecycle #
The system operates across two linked tables in SQLite:

The Twist Inspector Panel evaluates your manuscript to prevent structural pacing defects:

Quick-Jump Navigation & Deletion Safety #
- One-Click Prose Jump: Clicking any foreshadowing in the Twist Inspector instantly opens the corresponding chapter and scrolls the editor to the exact word offset.
- Cascading Tag Cleanup: If a twist is deleted, the backend drops associated rows in
foreshadowings, and the 300ms debounced Editor scanner automatically converts any orphaned tags back into plain text.
